Going through this time of isolation for people, I have observed how it is manifesting in many different ways for them. Because I am in the work of helping people through this unprecedented time through counseling, support groups and sermons, I get a unique view of how human beings handle life in the midst of a crisis or a blessing, however you would personally word it, without any say or control of how it all will play out or end.
I have heard things like, “I have never felt closer to God,” or “I don’t feel Spirit at all.” I hear people say “I feel hope for the first time in a long time.” I have heard people say that they are falling apart and don’t know how to recoup any normalcy. Either way, we are all in this together and I believe there is a real gift in life literally stopping in its tracks. There are so few distractions from ourselves, our thoughts, our fears, our feelings. It is impossible to avoid things that are bubbling up emotionally, physically, spiritually when there is nowhere to hide. This situation has challenged everybody’s lives. What are we all doing in this uncomfortable stillness? What are we doing with this once-in-a-lifetime pause?
Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
Instead of toiling over all of the not knowing about this situation this could be the moment that your future self will look back and reflect upon the Spring of 2020; the moment I fully awakened to my purpose and to my worth, the moment I started speaking my truth, the moment I forgave everything and was freed. That Spring of 2020 was the moment I challenged my limited thinking and belief system about God’s love and learned to bask in that beauty–and my heart was healed.
This talk is about being brave and challenging yourself to move into the uncomfortable places within for greater revelation of your Divine Purpose as an extension of God’s love in action. “Why not? You have the time right now, the time you always said you needed for this kind of rebirth!”
