We have many service opportunities at Unity of Boulder. Once you have found the service area that is right for you, or if you just want more information about an area, fill out the form at the bottom of the page.
Youth Ministry
Weekly/monthly commitment. Guide our children along their spiritual path and teach principles of compassion and love for all life. Duties include leading or assisting with lessons or classroom activities. Background check required. Coordinators: Michelle Pullo, Kids; Holly Morphew, Uniteens; Melinda Malek, YOU.
Bookstore/Office
Weekly commitment. OM Books & Gifts is our retail gift shop inside the church building. Duties can vary, according to experience and aptitude, but may include cashiering, customer service, stocking shelves, checking inventory, filing, answering phones and other miscellaneous office duties. Coordinator: Heather Bilyeu.
PRODUCTION Techs
Weekly commitment. If you love the technical side of production – video production, sound production, or lighting production – we would love to have you join our technical team. Coordinator: Rev. Shad Groverland.
Greeters
Weekly/monthly commitment. Create a welcoming, compassionate first impression for all who enter on Sunday mornings by demonstrating Unity principles and kindly assisting guests, answering questions, providing directions, and generally lending a helping hand. Coordinator: Heather Bilyeu.
Good Karma Kitchen
Weekly/monthly commitment. We rely on our Good Karma Kitchen helpers to be the heart of our fellowship each Sunday. Duties include set up, preparation and service of food & drinks, and clean up. Coordinator: Marjorie McCurtain.
Sunday Music team
Weekly/monthly commitment. Our Sunday music teams are always looking for talented singers and instrumentalists who would like to expand their horizons with many different styles of music. If you enjoy singing or playing an instrument, and are able to commit to at least two Sundays per month, we’d love to hear from you. Coordinator: Todd Bethune.
Ushers
Weekly/monthly commitment. Joyfully assist those entering the sanctuary on Sundays by greeting them, answering questions, helping them to their seat; also collect the offering during the service. Coordinator: Heather Bilyeu.
Choir
Weekly commitment (seasonal). If you love to sing, join our acclaimed Unity Choir! It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and sing with some of the most talented voices in Boulder. Rehearsals and performances are during the Christmas and Easter seasons. Coordinator: Norma Groverland.
Grounds & Landscaping
Seasonal/as needed commitment. If you love working in nature, join our team of volunteers who beautify and maintain the grounds, labyrinth and garden at Unity. Duties include planting, weeding, mowing, tree pruning, watering, composting, leaf removal and snow removal. Coordinator: Mike Schadle.
Promotions & Marketing
Weekly/monthly commitment. If you enjoy graphic design and creating online and printed promotional materials, or have a knack for marketing, we would love your help! Coordinator: Heather Bilyeu.
Community Outreach
Monthly commitment. We want to get the word out in the community about our awesome organization, and need boots on the ground to help. We need people to staff booths at local festivals, brainstorm about ways to become more widely known in Boulder Valley, and to support our coordinator in bringing ideas to life. Coordinator: Heather Bilyeu.
Fundraising
Monthly commitment. As a non-profit organization, all of our income is from donations. We need help in finding creative ways to increase donations and in planning fundraising events. Coordinator: Rev. Shad Groverland.
