Forgiveness is the spiritual elevator that raises our awareness out of a chaotic, often “insane” perception of life and back into our true nature, which is Love. When we hold onto grievances, we aren’t just judging another; we are actively choosing to forget who we are and seeing ourselves only as a body ruled by the ego. As A Course in Miracles reminds us, those who hold grievances will suffer guilt and forget their source, while those who forgive will find peace and remember their Self.
