The Gift of Change, by Marianne Williamson Pg 206 & 207
“Often we try to get clear about what our goals are, figuring out a five- or ten-year plan, making treasure maps, identifying those we wish to emulate. But we should think about our spiritual goals as well. The question shouldn’t just be, ‘Where do I want to be in five or ten years?’ It should also be, ‘Where do I want to be spiritually in five or ten years? How long until I move beyond judgment and blame? How long until I stop playing victim? How long until I forgive myself and make the most of the life I have?’ Our goal in any situation should be that God’s will be done.
We will be told exactly what we need to know in every instant that our hearts are open. God speaks to us through what is called ‘the small still voice for God’. Through forgiveness, prayer, and meditation, we can quiet the mind enough to be able to hear it.
One of my favorite prayers in A Course in Miracles is the following:
Where would you have me go?
What would you have me do?
What would you have me say, and to whom?”
This Sunday, Syntysche will be giving an inspirational spiritual Talk about moving from the question of what is next for my unfoldment TO how do I get there and what do I have to surrender to receive it?
This is a Talk about true spiritual transformation from lost to found. Invite your friends and family!
Also, following the service, we will be holding a belated St. Patrick’s Day potluck. Bring a dish to share, all types of food are welcome.
