Down through the ages of human experience, there have been countless gods that we have worshiped, prayed to and believed in. Certainly faith was a mjor factor which has diminished over the years and has not the effect it use to have in the lives of people. This can be largely attributed to the increased miracles of technology which have lit up people’s personal lives and confirmed that the only real power in life is the human intellect when it comes to solving problems.
On the other hand, accessing the guidance of the unseen God requires so much more time, energy and devotion than accessing one’s cell phone and computer that the battle for the human soul and the ideal of personal transformation appears all but lost.
Consider the dilemma we humans face now that the new god, Artificial Intelligence, has materialized in our faith shallow, self centered society. The miracle powers of the A.I. god seem to be beyond our human comprehension and the human wiz-kids who brought A.I. into being are using it to replace every nuance of human faith, ingenuity and creativity. A.I. may eventually usurp our jobs, professions, children’s minds, entertainment and laws that are no longer needed for an easily manipulated society primed and driven by such technology.
This Sunday, at Unity of Boulder’s 9AM MST Meditation & Satsang, we will openly discuss the new god who needs no faith to answer the ego’s prayers. Let’s see who is or who is not awake.
