Jack's Letter

Dear Friend,
We would all be a lot happier if we took time each day to see the world around us.  Not the mundane, thought encrusted world we stumble blindly through each day, but the real world teaming with millions of amazing, beautiful creations.
Collectively speaking, our problem is that we presume to know a thing once we label it.  Thus, we hardly experience anything around us, for once it is catagorized in our mental prison it holds no real interest or mystery for us.  Eckhart Tolle relates it this way in "A New Earth."
"You easily lose yourself in words, become hypnotized into believing that when you have attached a word to something you know what it is.  You have only covered up the mystery with a label.  Underneath the surface appearance, everything is not only connected with everything else, but also with the Source of life out of which we came.  Every stone, flower or bird could show you the way back to God, to the Source, to yourself.  When you look at it and hold it or let it be without imposing a word or mental label on it, a sense of awe, of wonder, arises within you.  Its essence silently communicates itself to you and reflects your own essence back to you."
Maybe it's time to give your T.V. and computer a day off and go check out the real world around you.
                                                      Your Friend On The Path,
                                                                                            Jack

remains the same.  Please remember to support your church these seasons
when attendance falls off.  Thanks.

Of all the many, many beautiful things that mankind has lost over the centuries, nothing has been more lost or more valuable than the true meaning of the resurrection.
Today ourourselves with love and wisdom.  As we resurrect human consciousness we will heal our world, for the fault is not in our world but in ourselves.
